Mollie

Peer Health Educator

Hello! My name is Mollie, and I use she/her pronouns. I am a junior studying communications and minoring in environmental studies, business, and global health. In my free time, I like to play the ukulele and bake banana bread. I also love rock climbing and spending time outdoors. As a student who came to UW from across the country, without knowing anyone, I understand how overwhelming a big school can be. Making new connections, taking care of my mental and physical health, and being patient with myself helped to ease the transition. As a PHE, I hope to empower and educate others on ways they too can take care of themselves at UW. I am so excited to have the opportunity to help my fellow huskies learn how to practice important and effective skills to help improve their wellbeing here at school and throughout their lives.

In addition to being a peer health educator, I get the opportunity to work one-on-one with students as a peer wellness coach. In this role, my aim is to utilize active listening and open ended questions to fully understand your wellness goals. I hope to create a comfortable environment to discuss the most effective and manageable ways to work towards your goals and overcome any current barriers. I believe the best strategy for intentional change is to come up with a plan that focuses on both your strengths and your values. I am excited to have open conversations about and share evidence based skills for promoting our wellbeing so we can not just survive, but thrive.
