Lauryn
Hello! My name is Lauryn and I use she/her pronouns. I am a third year student here studying Psychology with a minor in Education, Learning, and Society. After graduation, I hope to become a therapist with a specialization in couple and family counseling. Outside of my workplace, I am a huge fiction reader. Last year, I read 145 books! I also enjoy playing volleyball and exploring the beautiful parks and hikes around Washington. I hold another campus position as a Resident Adviser in Terry Hall where I support Honors residents! In both my roles, I’m passionate about working with students to provide them with the best knowledge and skills to foster their well-being. I believe the most wonderful things about being human is our ability to learn and our ability to choose. I hope to empower students to seek out reputable knowledge and use it to shape their lives in the way they desire. Like many of my other PHEs, I’m also a strong believer in self-compassion and kindness. It’s so difficult being a human nowadays and I enjoy showing students the importance of being kind to ourselves and others in our interactions. As my last year at the university, I am so excited to be a Peer Health Educator. I look forward to meeting you all and sharing information to help you in your well-being journey.
