Peer Health Education
LiveWell Peer Health Educators (PHEs) are highly trained UW students dedicated to educating their peers on various health and wellness topics through evidence-based workshops. LiveWell PHEs facilitate educational workshops for the campus community on topics such as: stress management, mental & emotional health, alcohol & cannabis, sleep quality, relationships, and gratitude.

Application and Employment Details:
- Application Deadline: Thursday, February 5th, 2025, by 11:59 PM PST
- Training Program: April – May, 2025
- Employment Period: June – December, 2025
- Pay Rate: 23$/hr
To prepare you for success, we provide a free training program in Spring Quarter for those who wish to become a Peer Health Educator. All applicants must complete the training prior to their employment and official role responsibilities begin in June, as it helps candidates meet the minimum qualifications of needing in-depth, evidence-based knowledge on a spectrum of health topics PHEs educate about.
*The only exception to this training program being required for hiring is if a candidate can demonstrate in-depth training and knowledge in the relevant health topics required for Peer Health Education minimum qualifications and this is approved by LiveWell.*
Training Schedule:
- Dates: Fridays from April 4th to May 16th, 2025
- Time: 2:00 – 4:30 PM
Responsibilities:
As a Peer Health Educator, you will:
- Facilitate educational workshops on health topics such as sleep, mental health, alcohol use, and more.
- Lead health and wellness sessions during Summer Advising and Orientation.
- Work flexible, shift-based hours, ranging from a few hours up to 15 hours per week during peak times when workshops are in high demand.
