Keira
Hi all! My name is Keira, I use she/her pronouns, and I’m a fourth year student studying Public Health and minoring in bioethics and microbiology. In my free time I love hiking, spending time with my family and friends, and exploring new coffee shops around Seattle. My favorite subject to nerd out about is music, so I’m always open to new song recommendations!
I love my work as a PHE because I believe health is not only determined by access to care but also by the habits and tools we cultivate. Through LiveWell, my goal is to empower you all to embrace your authentic self, try new things, and develop a toolbox of skills you can draw upon in new scenarios that life will (undoubtedly) throw at you. I encourage you to embrace a little discomfort and say hello to the person sitting next to you, try a new hobby, or take a class you wouldn’t normally seek out. My actions are rooted in empathy and equity, and I aim to foster a supportive environment for everyone’s college journey. As an out-of-state student, I felt the stress of moving to an unfamiliar environment, and developing a new set of skills to address the overwhelming feelings of being in a new place took time! In fact, I’m still growing and developing these skills— growth is a constant process and is not linear. I’m so excited to continue growing and learning with you all!
