Dental health

Dental health is integral to your general health!

Brush to breathe better

Respiratory issues can be created and exacerbated by harmful bacteria from periodontal disease when it travels to the lungs via the bloodstream.

What’s in your toothpaste?

Read the label of ingredients! Look up your toothpaste on the Environmental Working Group to learn more about the ingredients and their level of risk to your health.

Clean your tongue

To lower risk of tooth decay, gum disease, and prevent bad breath, use a tongue scraper to remove bacteria and debris from your mouth at least twice a day!

Take your oral health to heart

Periodontal bacteria and plaque can enter the bloodstream through the gums and travel to other systems in the body, increasing risk of other health issues such as heart disease.

Not all bubbles are fun

Early research suggests that drinking carbonated drinks may lower the pH in your mouth, potentially damaging enamel and increasing risk for tooth decay and cavities. Minimize the carbonated drinks that you consume, or alternate them with plain water to minimize this risk.

The bacteria in your mouth love to travel

Brushing, flossing, and tongue scraping twice a day help stop the travel and keep your body healthier!
