Suler
Hello! My name is Suler (shoe-ler) and I use she/her pronouns. I am a second-year student studying Public Health-Global Health and Environmental Studies. I am passionate about engaging people in action and advocacy to help them feel more connected to the public health issues we collectively face, particularly in improving our natural environment. As an out-of-state student from New York, I am always in awe of the unparalleled mountain ranges and towering forests of Washington.
Conversationally fluent in Mandarin, I grew up informed by Chinese culture, values, and traditions. Chinese health beliefs emphasize balance as an important part of holistic well-being. I believe that holistic health should be accessible and achievable for every individual. As a Peer Health Educator, I am excited to meet the diverse individuals of our UW campus community, to support peers in achieving their wellness goals, and to promote a variety of fascinating, evidence-based science. I am especially interested in sleep, stress management, nutrition, and interpersonal relationships.
In my free time, I enjoy community volunteering, creating art, listening to live music, trying new cuisines, and exploring the outdoors!
